The company was founded in June 1996 by Alan Jordan, the Technical Director of the company, who had already had about eight years in, what was then, an innovative niche sector of the mechanical and electrical engineering industry.
Alan's early involvement within both Water and Ventilation System Hygiene, as well as experience gained within Indoor Air Monitoring and Closed System Chemical Cleaning and Treatment, meant that the company initially offered a wide range of services for such a young organisation. One of the first major clients used to affectionately refer to Jordan Environmental as 'The bigest small company I know'!
In Alan's earlier career, within Technical Sales, he had a accrued many contacts in East Anglia and London. This meant that from the start the M11 had a fair amount of use from the Alan and the other employees. However, in more recent times, a London sub-office has been opened and is operated by a locally based Area Manager and Technical team. This not only improves the efficiency and reponse times for the Southern client base, but also reduces the company's carbon footprint.
Jordan Environmental Ltd has always been focused on providing a range of services that naturally compliment each other, in an attempt to allow their clients to minimise the number of different specialist services providers that are required for any given project.
The ethos of the company has always been to endeavour to provide high levels of service delivery but found that a committment to professionality and expertise can be counter productive to short term rapid expansion.
The decision has always been to maintain the high standards and accept that the company will remain as a bespoke supplier operating on a regional basis. However, with a current trend towards value, as opposed to low cost, further company growth is continuing and more is likely to follow.
