Sampling and Analysis

Jordan Environmental Ltd undertake various types of water sampling and analysis for bacteriological monitoring. Generally the sampling is undertaken by an approved method and transported to an independent UKAS approved laboratory for the required analysis.

Analysis for general bacteriological and drinking water quality is to the E C Directive and is reported as 2 and 3 day Total Variable Counts, Coliforms and E. Coli.

Analysis for specific legionella is reported as colony forming units per litre. It is usual to also report the specific sero group of bacteria should they be isolated.

Basic chemical analysis, for example disinfectant levels are undertaken by our technicians during the works process.
